We’re thrilled to welcome Matthias Trum, 6th-generation brewmaster and guardian of the legendary Schlenkerla brewery. From the heart of Bamberg’s old town, Matthias continues his family’s centuries-old tradition of brewing Rauchbier (smokebeer) in one of the only two breweries in the world that still use traditional smoked malts.
Expect an insightful and passionate keynote as Matthias shares stories of heritage brewing, historical beer styles, and the innovation behind Schlenkerla’s global cult following – including the creation of their newest smoked lagers.
