Keynote with Brewing Royalty: Matthias Trum

We’re honoured to welcome Matthias Trum, 6th-generation brewmaster at Schlenkerla, as our headline speaker. Hailing from Bamberg, Germany, Matthias continues his family’s centuries-old legacy of brewing Rauchbier (smokebeer) using traditional smoked malts—making Schlenkerla one of only two breweries worldwide keeping the tradition alive.

He’ll share his story of heritage brewing, rediscovering historical beer styles, and innovating through tradition.
