MARCUS ENGLET – WEIHENSTEPHAN
Founded in 1040, Weihenstephan stands as the world’s oldest brewery, perched on the historic Weihenstephan Hill. This iconic brewery seamlessly blends tradition and cutting-edge science to produce top-quality beers.
Mr. Marcus Englet, born in 1969, is VP Sales Export at Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan. He has more than 25 years of experience in the International Beverage Industry since he joined “The World’s Oldest Brewery” in 1998. Since he started in Weihenstephan he sextupled the turnover in the export department and increased the number of developed export countries from 10 to 59. He holds a MBA Marketing degree from the University Augsburg / Germany and a Doemens Beersommelier Diploma.
Weihenstephan’s commitment to brewing excellence is reflected in its recent recognition at the 2023 World Beer Awards, picking up gold, silver and bronze medals. The brewery’s dedication to the art of brewing is encapsulated in its philosophy: it’s not enough to brew a good beer; it must be consistently outstanding. Weihenstephan upholds the highest standard of quality, known as “premium bavaricum,”.
With 300 hands diligently working each day, from brewmasters to storage facility workers and secretaries. This meticulous attention to quality is evident in every sip, allowing beer enthusiasts to savor the unique blend of tradition and innovation.
